After completing his primary and secondary education in Ankara, he was admitted to the Department of Physics Engineering at Hacettepe University in 1998. In 2003, he completed his first oud, marking the beginning of his journey as a luthier. Continuing his physics education while building musical instruments during his university years allowed him to recognize the connection between these two fields. In 2004, he graduated as a physics engineer and established his own workshop, where he continued both oud making and research on the physical properties of musical instruments.
In 2011, he became part of the founding faculty of Gazi University’s Turkish Music State Conservatory. He completed his master’s degree in 2014 and his Ph.D. in 2018. Currently, he continues his work at Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University’s Turkish Music State Conservatory, where he teaches courses on sound physics, musical acoustics, and instrument acoustics. Additionally, he actively participates in academic activities both nationally and internationally.
